The Houston ASID Ruby Awards honor 2023 Interior Design of the Year

Belinda Bennett and Sandra Lucas were the big winners at ASID’s Texas Gulf Coast Chapter’s recent annual Ruby Awards honoring the best interior design work by students, emerging professionals, industry partners, and interior design firms small and large. Bennett, of Bennett Design Group, won for her design work on the hospital emergency room, while Lucas, of Lucas Ehlers Design Associates, won for her design work on the bedroom.

Student winners: Best Business, Italy Maldonado and Megan Funi, Sam Houston State University; Best Residential Projects, Shawn-Li Lee Hutton and Shasta Beveridge, Houston Community College;

Emerging professional: Best Business, Mariana De La Garza of Cotton House; Best Residential Design, Sarah Baker of Sarah Baker Design
