MrBeast builds 100 wells across Africa

GREENVILLE, NC (WNCT) – We’ve seen Greenville resident and YouTube sensation MrBeast do all kinds of great videos over the years. This could be one of his best.

In a video released Saturday, he showed how he and his team spent time in Africa building wells that produce fresh water for many who don’t have it. His efforts have taken him all over the continent to help villages that have nothing that many of us take for granted.

In his tweet on Twitter on Friday evening, You can tell how excited he is to show the world the work they’ve been done, saying “We’ve spent over 8 months working on tomorrow’s video and it’s the greatest thing I’ve ever done!” So excited for you all to see it.

His efforts have taken him to countries such as Kenya, where his work helps the local community and school there. MrBeast also donated tanks to residents to store water. In Zimbabwe, a bridge was built to improve access to the well. His team also helped a hospital with a new water source, making life easier.

Each time, MrBeast and his team drill and construct wells for communities. This included stops in Uganda, Somalia and Cameroon. Finally, he provides a link to his MrBeast Philanthropy website where people can donate and help dig more wells.

However, there was a twist in everything. MrBeast took to Twitter shortly after posting the video Saturday afternoon, saying he was sure he would be canceled for his efforts but that wouldn’t stop him.

“I already know I’m going to be unsubscribed because I uploaded a video to help people, and to be 100% clear, I don’t care. I will always use my channel to help people and try to inspire my audience to do the same.

But that didn’t stop those who watched the video from praising the work that was done. The video had more than 23 million views after nine hours.

SpeedMcqueen_1 said: “Can we all agree that Mr. Beast is one of the most genuine, hardworking and amazing people ever???”

Abizardfahry4591 also expressed his appreciation for what MrBeast and the team did, saying, “This YouTuber has managed to do in just a few months what countless politicians have failed to do over the past years. This man truly deserves our respect.”
