Paul Brackley, founder and CEO of Kinsfolk & Co, said: “We are delighted to announce The Newman as our first hotel, here in Fitzrovia, where Kinsfolk & Co started. “The Newman will be a mature, elevated but fun experience, where people can enjoy excellence.” Thoughtful design, service, food and wellness – all seamlessly integrated into Fitzrovian living.

Newman has a sleek, refined surface supported by elegant, understated touches and whimsical quirks throughout. Every space within the hotel carries the distinct essence of Fitzrovia. With an aesthetic that nods to the character of the region and its inspiring figures, such as Nancy Cunard, once the bohemian queen of Fitzrovia, whose signature bracelets and polka dots subtly punctuate the design story. The hotel was designed by Pernell Lind and Richie Almond of Lind + Almond, who are known for creating spaces with simple, earthy eclecticism.

Upscale and timeless, The Newman features 81 spacious, well-appointed rooms, suites and apartments, some with private balconies. All rooms feature a contemporary Art Deco aesthetic. The roof floor consists of a distinctive suite with a private terrace, and when taken as a whole, provides exclusive use of the floor as a spacious and beautifully appointed four-bedroom suite.

The hotel’s modern European brasserie, which seats 120 guests, is flooded with natural light and includes a separate street entrance, as well as an outdoor terrace and a menu that prioritizes great seasonal British ingredients. Downstairs reveals a bolder, more upscale edge, with a cocktail bar featuring small plates, handcrafted cocktails and a selection of craft beers. Also on this floor are two private event and dining rooms.

The Spa at The Newman embraces Scandinavian simplicity, blending minimalism, innovation and functionality. This entire floor is dedicated to luxurious wellness and includes a range of hot and cold experience cabins, an active salt therapy room and a hydrotherapy pool. For residents and locals, the day spa offers treatment rooms, fitness services including yoga and personal training, a meditation studio and a gym. It is a haven for guests to explore, immerse and rejuvenate.
