A lawsuit has revealed that Kanye West wanted to remove windows and electricity from his Malibu mansion in an attempt to mimic a “2000s bomb shelter.”

The 46-year-old rapper reportedly wanted to make changes to a $57m (£46m) home on the coast, and is now being sued by the project’s former manager.

Tony Saxon allegedly claimed he was fired from the redesign after he “expressed concerns about the extreme danger of such actions,” according to US outlet TMZ.

The lawsuit was filed by Saxon on Wednesday in Los Angeles County Superior Court and explained that the director was appointed for the project in September 2021.

The American newspaper obtained the lawsuit and said it claimed that Saxon worked 16 hours a day on the beach house designed by Tadao Ando.

They went on to report that the manager claimed he was sleeping on the floor of the star’s home so he could perform his duties as “project manager, supervisor, and 24/7 security” for the home.

After refusing to remove the windows and electrics, Saxon suggested he was fired in November 2021 following allegations that Kanye only paid him one week’s wages and ignored all his concerns about the risks surrounding his requests.

TMZ said the lawsuit included a conversation between the duo during which the musician threatened: “If you don’t do what I say, you won’t work with me, I won’t be your friend anymore, and you will.” Just watch me on TV.

Saxon said he made it clear to the star that he didn’t watch TV, after which he was promptly fired by Kim Kardashian’s ex-partner.

According to NBC News, the lawsuit also noted that the Flashing Lights rapper had a vision of turning the house into something resembling a “bomb shelter from the 2000s.”

His plans reportedly included demolishing the marble bathrooms, as well as removing all windows, plumbing and electricity from the property.

The manager also claimed that the star wanted to remove the stairs in the house and replace them with slides.
