Frenchette Bakery opens at the Whitney Hotel

Frenchette Bakery at the Whitney Hotel is the centerpiece of the New York cultural institution’s redesigned food and beverage space and program. Designed by New York architecture firm Modellus Novus, the new café and dining area are designed to be open and welcoming to all, as well as smart, functional and cheerful, catering to both the sustenance and intellect of the discerning visitor. Public in November 2023.

The ground floor interior design works with the existing architecture executed by Renzo Piano and includes a specific, site-specific commission by artist Rashid Johnson entitled New hair.
