Hailey Bieber seems to be the celebrity on everyone’s radar right now. Whether it’s latte makeup or polished donut nails, the model and beauty brand owner has the Midas touch when it comes to online trends. But it’s her bathroom that ticks our boxes.
The founder and creative director of popular beauty brand, Rhode, took to Instagram to share with her 50.5 million followers the launch of her latest beauty product in a photo showing the coolest walk-in shower in the coolest modern bathroom.
The walk-in shower is a compact space made of marble in charcoal and taupe tones and featuring double glazed doors. The hardware in the shower, from the door handles to the shower head itself, is made of metal with a warm copper look, and the interior of the unit itself is covered in gray square tiles throughout.
Hili’s bathroom is nothing less than a luxurious retreat and has been a huge hit with Zara Khan. “I love its dramatic and glamorous look!” says Khan, owner of Zara Khan Interior Design. “Dark stone is a bold statement.” It would have easily been overwhelming if it had been used in the entire bathroom. By adding a more subdued stone, I think she kept her bathroom relaxed, but still edgy.’
The trick is in the color

Amber Dunford, style director and stylist, can shed light on why Hailey feels so relaxed in the shower. “The more monochromatic white and gray marble in the interior provides a visual break and a sense of calm,” Dunford says. “Humans typically like more solid colors with visual weight at their feet, so this mix of dark to light feels like a beautiful palette for the shower where we typically start our day.”
The added warmth of copper-effect appliances against the cool marble also impresses our designers. “The contrast with the cool marble helps the appliances feel more private, and adds a layer of drama that you wouldn’t experience if the appliances were black, for example,” says Dunford. “Think a black-and-white outfit with the perfect layer of gold jewelry.”

The shape and nature of the Helly shower add to this feeling of luxury. “A walk-in shower is a practical option due to its accessibility and modern look,” Elizabeth Vergara of Vergara Homes in New York tells us. It eliminates the need for shower screens, providing style and convenience.’
Amber Dunford adds: “Extending a design can often feel luxurious, so stand-alone showers can be an easy way to achieve an upscale look by creating a dedicated ‘shower room’ within your bathroom.” This is further elevated by the square shape which makes the space feel personalized and more thoughtful, in Dunford’s opinion.
It is possible to recreate it on a limited budget
You may be looking at Hayley’s bathroom and thinking it looks beautiful, but how can I recreate it on a more modest budget. “For a budget-friendly version, consider porcelain tiles that mimic the look of marble, such as Carrara or Calacatta options,” says Vergara. “They achieve a similar aesthetic without the high cost.”
You can also maximize the effect of an expensive marble frame, if you go this route, by using leftover materials. “If you’re going to splurge on marble, be sure to include a shower door that complements the marble, or choose no door at all to really highlight the marble,” Dunford says. In Healy’s space, a gold-framed glass door and ornate handle elevate the marble without detracting from its beauty.’
Zara Khan similarly insists that less is more in a space like Hiley’s. “Resist the urge to add accents in too many places,” the designer advises. “I appreciate that Hailey didn’t use the same accent tile in her cozy shower space and let it stand out against the floor and ocean.”
Although a bathroom like Hailey’s is certainly an investment, the features that sing the loudest – the shape of the overall space and the contrasting warm and cool materials – can be recreated on a limited budget meaning that the luxurious feel the space exudes isn’t completely out of reach.
