Centenary of Our Lady of Consolation in Renzi

The church of Notre-Dame de la Consolacion in Rency, whose plans were signed by Auguste and Gustave Perret, was consecrated on 17 June 1923. It was then necessary to build quickly and cheaply and this was an opportunity to use reinforced concrete for an experimental building. The church was listed as a historical monument in 1966, and has already undergone several restorations. On the occasion of the latest on the bell tower that has just been completed, Christophe Arnon, ETP architect and Jean-Paul Medant, historian, teachers at DSA Architecture and heritage De Belleville organizes a day of meetings and discussions. To accompany this event, ENSA Paris-Belleville is hosting an exhibition in the ground floor gallery prepared by the Société historique du Raincy et du Pays d’Aulnoye (SHRPA) and the Association RESTAURER l’église du Raincy.
