A key architect of Voice to Parliament has criticized the ABC for promoting the leaders of the No campaign.

Professor Megan Davis shared her anger on Twitter that David Spears did not give an interview to Warren Munden on ABC’s Insiders programme, in a tweet that has since been deleted.

“It’s amazing to me that ABC Insiders is featuring Warren Munden this morning,” she posted.

‘ABC is constantly campaigning for NO. #Insiders.

Liberal Senator Liddell appeared on Thursday at 7.30 in a segment led by Spears.

On Thursday, the ABC also broadcast Aboriginal opposition spokesperson Jacinta Nambijinpa Price’s speech to the National Press Club in Canberra.

Professor Davis left other tweets criticizing the insider and his host David Spears.

“The Voice will focus on what is urgent for the mob. She will likely be presenting on running water (which Jacinta believes Indigenous communities have) and not Australia Day (which Mundine says should be changed). Clearly, ‘no’ is not In touch with the communities. Written by #Insider.

Warren Mundine (pictured) himself apparently took issue with his interview with Spears, after he took to Twitter to say the Insiders host had “selectively quoted” an article he wrote almost a decade ago.

She also retweeted calls for the ABC news director to be investigated.

“ABC’s apparent campaign against YES is disturbing,” Ash Leahy’s tweet said.

“There is clear editorial direction here and the news director and news director should be questioned.”

“Read it yourself,” he wrote.

“I don’t think history puts Indigenous people at a disadvantage. I think Indigenous people can move forward and that economic participation is key.”
