At first it seemed like Kemper, Ben’s co-star, had his attention. The actor apologized to her for something at the party and promised to make things right. So it looks like Ben spoiled Kimber pretty bad. Additionally, Tobert and Mabel discover that Ben appears to be romantically involved with the killer.
However, it was then revealed that Kimber and Ben’s relationship was professional. So it’s unlikely that Kimber killed Ben, but who knows, maybe three amateur investigators will find something else that specifically points to her?

Loretta comes under suspicion because she had a more adversarial relationship with Ben. They had a big fight at the premiere, and she even called the actor some very rude names.
However, Loretta’s candidacy remains in doubt, as her open hostility would be a very clear motive for the murder. Moreover, as a struggling actress, she wouldn’t kill the star of her production and risk being out of work again.
2. Dickie
Dickie is Ben’s manager and his brother who always supports him at first glance. But it turned out in the end that this was not entirely true.
Dickie was adopted, and during his time with Ben, he got into a lot of trouble trying to make things right in his half-brother’s life. Also, Mabel suspects that Dickie created CoBro, and may resent Ben for stealing his idea and generally overshadowing it.
1. Tobert
Tobert is a documentary director hired by Penn to film his Broadway triumph. In the third episode, he helps Mabel try to figure out how Ben is connected to a mysterious person.
So far, this is the most likely suspect of all. Tobert intervenes in the investigation, just as Jan did in the first season. He may have killed Ben in order to make his documentary more interesting and therefore more successful.
