Kia’s first dedicated electric vehicle undergoes a makeover. The Kia EV6 has been spotted with a new facelift, including several design upgrades.

Kia unveiled the EV6 in March 2021 as its first dedicated electric vehicle alongside sister company Hyundai IONIQ 5.

The EV6 has seen a positive response from buyers and journalists due to its long-range capabilities, spacious interior and dynamic ride.

Despite this, it’s been over two years since the EV6 was first revealed, and the industry has progressed significantly since then. Even the design of Kia’s electric car has evolved significantly.

Kia introduced three new models at its first annual EV Day last month. New models include the EV5 compact electric SUV as well as the EV3 and EV4 concepts. This comes just months after Kia unveiled its first three-row electric SUV, the EV9.

Looking at Kia’s new EV lineup, it’s clear that the EV6 needs a facelift. The EV6 still has great design, but it looks dated compared to the latest models.

The Kia EV6 is set to undergo a facelift just two years after its launch. The upgrades come as Kia looks to establish the brand for the future of the industry.

Kia’s EV6 had a record October in the US, but sales are still down 12% compared to last year. Sales also declined in Europe and Korea, prompting Kia to plan an upgrade.

Powertrain specifications have not been revealed, but rumors claim Kia may add LFP batteries to cut costs.

Kia has introduced a new Light Long Range model to the 2024 lineup. The automaker aims to offer the right balance between affordability and range in the 2024 EV6 Light Long Range model, with an MSRP of $45,950 and a range of 310 miles.
