a Pokemon Fan recently designed six new creatures based on two fantasy types not found in the games: Gourmet and Sound. the Pokemon The community is very creative, always coming up with new designs, like fusions between different creatures, alternate regional versions, or even new evolutions of Pokemon, and this artwork really stands out.
The latest entry in the franchise, Pokemon scarlet and purpleCurrently, there are 18 different types of Pokémon. While most of the types were introduced in Generation 1, Dark and Steel entered the picture in Generation 2, and Fairy-type Pokémon only appeared from Generation 4 onward. However, no new types have been introduced recently, so fans try to create their own sometimes.
Now, a Pokemon A fan named MonsieurMidnight came up with six creature designs belonging to the new Gourmet and Sound types: Deliceon, Drangerine, Kalosian Appletun, Vibreon, Doremawfasol, and Aristoslash. While Gourmet Pokémon are based around different types of food, Sonic-type creatures have more flexible concepts, inspired by motives such as musical instruments or loud parties. For example, the Dragon/Gourmet-type Drangerine is derived from the idea of putting Dratini inside a tangerine, while the Grass/Gourmet-type looks like an apple pie. The Ghost/Sound type Doremawfasol looks like a piano monster and is heavily inspired by the piano Super Mario 64, according to the Creator. Perhaps the most unusual design belongs to Aristoslash, a steel/sonic Pokémon that looks like a soldier and carries a chainsaw, and has a very unique concept of sound.
Also, the designs come with two new evolutions for Eevee, which is interesting considering that Pokemon scarlet and purple Does not contain new Eeveelutions. One of them is Deliceon, which looks like a Dachshund made of creamy candy. The other is Vibreon, an Eeveelution with a cool vibe, techno glasses, and crystals instead of ears and tails.
However, MonsieurMidnight is not the first fan to come up with new genres. Last month, another fan created Halloween-inspired Eeveelutions that belongs to the alternative genres. The artwork contains examples like Spookeon, a creepy-type Eeveelution that evolved a Pokémon into a ghost, for example. Another example was the Vampeon, a monster-type creature inspired by vampires. In total, fans came up with nine different creatures, and also made versions of Eevee inspired by werewolves, mummies, mythical Cerberus, witches, and more, which were a perfect fit for Halloween.
