creative Pokemon Fan artist designed Mega Evolution for the Grass-type Torterra. Turtwig’s fully evolved form hasn’t seen much development yet, so he’s gifted Pokemon Fans took it upon themselves to imagine what that might look like.

Mega Evolutions were introduced to the franchise in the sixth generation games Pokemon X and Y. Unlike normal evolution which is permanent, Mega Evolution is a temporary form that only certain Pokémon can encounter during battle assuming they are holding a Mega Stone. Mega Evolution is widely considered one of the best games Pokemon Gimmicks due to all the epic designs as well as the strategic element it adds to each battle. Not every Pokémon is included in this popular battle mechanic, however, and it’s quite common for fan artists to envision what excluded characters would look like if they were able to Mega Evolve.

Reddit user MarceloGiribaldi imagines what Torterra would look like if it finally got Mega Evolution. The artist was inspired by the tree of life and the shape of the planet. They even created a shiny version of the Pokemon. While some Pokemon change their type when Mega Evolved, Mega Torterra maintains the dual typing on Grass and Ground.

The artist even created a Pokedex entry for Mega Torterra, stating that it “has the ability to control geography itself.” This isn’t the fan’s first attempt at this type of plot either, as they have previously created massive versions of popular Pokemon like Arcanine, Milotic, Kingdra, and Noctowl. If the rumors of Mega Evolution returning to the series are true, this artist has certainly made the case for Torterra’s inclusion.

Terastalization is the current gimmick in the franchise, and it doesn’t look like it’s going anywhere anytime soon Pokemon scarlet and purple The DLC teases a new type of Tera. However, among the current Terastal phenomenon, Dynamax is taking shape Sword and shieldand Z-moves from The sun and the moon, nothing seems to have been as popular as Mega Evolutions among the fanbase.
