The Parade of Homes has a lot to offer this year!
The 59th edition of the Parade of Homes begins Saturday at The Woodlands & The Villas of GentleBrook in Hartville.
This year’s show features seven brand new homes – all showcasing the latest in new home interiors, floor plans, technology, green building and landscaping. Prices for these fully decorated homes start at $550,000 and feature a variety of architectural styles. This offering will appeal to all generations of consumers from first-time homebuyers to empty nesters, especially those interested in building a custom home.
This year, the show is about much more than just looking at new homes. We have a large variety of foods, arts and crafts, educational and entertaining seminars for those who attend. Our programs include:
September 16 – Bluegrass music by the Magnificent Goat Brothers and street vendors Everyday Custom Apparel & Roots Home Store.
September 17 – Acoustic guitar with soaring melodies from Samuel John. We will also be serving Almost Heaven ice cream and specialty coffee from Culligans Water.
September 18 – Enjoy all-American cooking featuring hot dogs and buns from Hartville Hardware & Lumber, Frigidaire Appliances and Hartville Kitchen.
September 19 – Blues, soul, jazz and R&B from Blue Lunch.
September 20 – Prime Music – An acoustic trio that performs pop, country and oldies. We will also have a charcuterie platter with meats, cheeses and other foods prepared by Naturally Snackish.
September 21 – More grilled meats from Naturally Snackish…this time we’re featuring dessert and specialty coffee items from Culligans Water!
September 22 – Solo guitarist Paul Gregory Witt joins us to provide musical entertainment. We will also have cooking demonstrations and samples of 2nds by Chef Scott.
September 23 – It’s pumpkin day! Our parade will be all things pumpkin. Bring a carved, decorated or painted pumpkin to the show and be eligible to win Hartville Kitchen gift cards, courtesy of Consumers National Bank. At 1:00 PM, we will have a fall floral design presentation by Kimberly Designs from Cummings Florist.
September 24 – Samuel John returns to provide the musical energy and Culligans Water will serve specialty coffee.
So, as you can see – we have something for everyone, no matter your taste. Come out and enjoy food, music, crafts and beautiful home design for an afternoon or evening.
What does the show offer to attendees?
Award Winning Home Builders – This year’s parade features seven homes from six different builders: Grisez Homes, Hossetler Family Homes (2), Lawver Homes, Patrick Long Homes (GentleBrook), Rea Custom Homes, and Vega Construction. All of these companies are long-time members of our association and have received numerous awards over the years, including the People’s Choice Award, Home of the Year, and Builder of the Year. You will see their experience and craftsmanship in every aspect of these skillfully built homes.
Nice development – The Woodlands is located off Woodland St. SW between Prospect Ave. S (State Route 43) and Market Ave. N. It is a scenic environment with the charm of the countryside but also with the convenience of the city. The Woodlands is located adjacent to numerous amenities such as Lake Schools, Stark County Library, Lake Community YMCA, and a large variety of shopping.
Home Design – The latest floor plan designs are featured in the show. If you’re house hunting, you know that one-story, open-plan living plans are very popular and in high demand. Many of Parade’s homes are open-plan ranches that are great for empty nesters or families with children. There are two-storey houses on offer as well.
interior decorating – All seven of these homes are professionally decorated. These are beautiful creations with the most popular colors and decor ideas. Come and see for yourself.
Technology – Every year, we are amazed at the features that manufacturers in our industry create to make life easier for us and how to incorporate these features into the design of the home. This year is no exception. If you attend, you’re sure to see at least one cool innovation that you wish you’d thought of or had in your current home.
Landscaping/outdoor living – Wait until you see the covered porches and outdoor living patios in this collection of show homes!
Ideas and inspiration – Come spend an afternoon or evening with us at Parade and get all the ideas you need for your next home or remodeling project. No matter what you’re planning on building or remodeling, a trip to Parade of Homes ensures you’ve got all the bases of style, color, design and budget covered.
