A highly anticipated event every year, the Maurice Tanguay Foundation, which helps disabled children and their families, on Tuesday morning presented the new house for which it will lottery and which represents the main source of its funding.

The 28thH Tanguay House was designed by architect Yvan Deschênes. It’s a very modern take on the modern farmhouse (Modern farm) It is characterized by its generous shine.

“The forms are optimized. It is a pavilion structure with modules that overlap each other. The materials are noble and warm,” the architect explained.

The value of the house is $985,000, including $735,000 for its construction, the land allowance is $150,000, and $100,000 for furniture and decoration. The winner may instead choose to receive $750,000 in cash.

Last year, ticket sales reached a record $3.7 million.

“There are hundreds of families that we will be able to support, whether through a temporary service, specialized equipment or home modifications,” says Olivier Tanguay, general director of the foundation, which also helps organizations.

“Despite inflation, people are generous. They trust our institution and our cause,” Mr. Tanguay added.

For the first time, tickets will be available in almost the entire province as Tanguay expands. Tickets can be purchased online and at 25 points of sale.

A $10 ticket gives one chance to win, a $20 ticket gives three chances, and a $100 ticket gives 20 chances.

Organizations wishing to serve as ambassadors can sell tickets and keep 15% of the proceeds.

The grand drawing will take place on September 15, 2024. It will be preceded by two drawings on April 26 and September 6, during which the 15 finalists will be selected.
