Architectural Designer (6+ years experience) – New York, NY, United States | Careers

S9 Architecture is looking for a highly skilled Architectural Designer with strong design skills and a passion for technical execution. This position provides the opportunity to serve as lead design engineer for landmark projects throughout North America.

Responsibilities:

• Assist and collaborate with the project team in producing presentation materials and presenting designs to clients and other consultants.
• Collaborate with design managers to generate design ideas and compelling design narratives.
• Collaborate with the internal project team and others to develop the design and maintain design integrity throughout the SD, DD and CD phases.
• Develop design with understanding, time constraints, budget requirements, and a good understanding of the ADA.
• Ability to work independently and in teams to achieve a common goal.
• Ability to work on more than one project, and occasionally assist on projects for a short period of time to assist.
• Interest and ability to research materials and products.
• Improving and maintaining the company’s design quality level.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture or interior design.
• At least 6 years post-graduate experience in the United States in an architecture office and/or interior design office.
• Strong design capabilities.
• Extensive experience with Rhino, V-ray, and Enscape is required, and AutoCAD, Revit, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Bluebeam, and 3D Max are also preferred.
• Self-motivated, energetic and organized with excellent graphic, written and verbal communication skills. Experienced presentation skills.
• Enjoys working independently but is comfortable asking questions of senior staff.
• Draw + perspective drawing plus.

Salary range: $80,000 – $110,000+
