When shopping for wall art, are you drawn to a riot of colors and patterns? If you clicked on this article, you’re probably not like me. My main criteria for shopping for wall art is something that matches my home’s neutral color scheme and doesn’t detract too much from its minimalist aesthetic.

Sometimes wall decor is there to provide a little texture, or sometimes it’s there to interestingly break up the clutter of your architecture. While some people may find minimalist wall decor a bit boring, compared to the bright and lively decor that minimalists choose for their walls, I would argue the opposite. Stripping away colors and reducing materials means they are often more tactile and interesting, contributing to a sense of calm in the overall scheme.
